Our Music Ministry
The focus of the Music Ministry of First United Methodist Church is the same as the Psalmist who wrote: "Make a joyful noise to God, all the earth; sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise."

We have a rich heritage of musical involvement at First Church, but we are excited about new things that the Lord is doing in and through us.

Matin Choir - leads in worship every Sunday morning for the 8:15 Traditional Worship service.



Chancel Choir - leads in worship every Sunday morning for the 11:00 Traditional Worship service.



Faire Ladies - a singularly special group of ladies who enjoy singing and ministering in local nursing and retirement facilities that perform sacred music as well as wholesome, lighter fare in over 20 annual performances.



Contemporary Worship Band - a group of musicians and singers who lead in worship every Sunday morning at the 9:30 Contemporary Worship service.



Youth Worship Team - plays for Sunday evening youth worship services and the Wednesday evening Fellowship Supper.

Kids Choir - performs one Sunday a month as well as for special events and holidays.

Cathedral Bells - a group of talented handbell ringers, performs regularly in Sunday worship services and in the local community.

On March 10, 1968 our first worship service was telecast live on Panama City's local NBC affiliate. Thirty-eight years later, our 11 a.m. service can still be seen live - visit the Television Ministry section of our web site for station and time information.
