Christ Church is a place of great beauty: in its architecture, music and ritual. It is a place which proudly continues a tradition of recognizing and celebrating the Catholic witness and authenticity of Anglicanism. It is also a place where people from many backgrounds and perspectives find their lives enhanced by knowing one another.

The principal act of worship on Sundays at Christ Church is the 11:00 a.m. Solemn High Mass with a full choir and a pageantry that is ancient, beautiful, and rounded with a mystic dimension.

Situated on the campus of Yale University in downtown New Haven, Connecticut, Christ Church has been a prominent voice in the city for 150 years.

Christ Church also celebrates a Low Mass and a Rite II Holy Eucharist with hymns on Sundays along with weekday masses.

We currently open our parish house to the Community Soup Kitchen five days a week, to Twelve Step Programs and a Life-skills program offered by Columbus House. The Center for the Arts opens our undercroft to children and adults developing musical skills and to the Yale Children's Theater Project.

The ministry and charge of the Christ Church Choir is simple: to make musical offerings during the liturgy at Christ Church, rendered at the very highest standard.

The Christ Church Choir sings the Solemn Mass on Sundays and Feast Days, and sings the Choral Office at Evensong and Compline. The fully-professional choir is comprised of students from Yale University, most of them working on advanced degrees, and professionals from the New Haven community.

At Evensong and at Compline there is no proselytizing of any kind; we believe that the beauty of the ancient liturgy itself, sung within our glorious building, will transport the worshipper to new realms.
