We are a place of hope and healing, a community of faith reaching out beyond our congregation to serve our Lord. We support numerous agencies meeting local needs, are home to many local community groups, are generous in our world hunger and disaster relief giving, and support two missionaries.

Holy Cross is a congregation which values its arts ministries, evident as soon as you enter the building and see the visual art hanging in the hallways. Music ministries are an important way the arts manifest themselves at Holy Cross.

Adult Choirs
There are two adult choirs at Holy Cross:
The SonRise Singers sing approximately every other week at the 8:00 service and for some special services (Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, and Maundy Thursday). Music tends to be more contemporary in nature, but a variety of musical styles is rehearsed and performed.

The Cathedral Choir sings almost every Sunday at the 10:45 service and for some special services (Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, and Good Friday). Music tends to be of a more traditional nature, but a variety of musical styles is rehearsed and performed.

The two choirs combine occasionally throughout the year for special musical presentations, usually including one performance of a large work.

Children's Choir
The Rainbow Choir,children in grades K-6, sings approximately once a month for both services (Sept.-May).

Handbell Choir
The Holy Cross Ringers ring during worship approximately once a month (Sept.-May). A great variety of music is rung during the year, sometimes combining handbells with other instruments or voice. The equipment consists of four octaves of Schulmerich handbells and four octaves of Schulmerich hand chimes.

Soloists and Instrumentalists
There are many talented members of Holy Cross who sing solos or play instruments during worship, usually during the summer months and for the 8:00 services the SonRise Singers do not sing (Sept.-early June). Occasionally instrumentalists collaborate with our choirs for special anthems. Some of our liturgies are accompanied by guitars and drums, and occasionally by other instruments as well.

The Organ
Holy Cross enjoys a major organ installation built in 2003 which combines both pipe and digital technologies. The instrument's 38 ranks of pipes were done by Wilson Associates and the digital part by Rodgers Organs and Church Organs of Colorado. Front and back organ divisions, use of MIDI, and twin three-manual consoles make this instrument particularly versatile. Beyond use in the service of worship, visiting musicians and performing groups in the metro area also enjoy occasional use of the instrument.
