Our Mission Statement
“First Church is a seven-day-a-week church family supported by prayer, centered upon the presence of Christ, reaching out in love to all people through God’s grace and our resources, to meet needs, make disciples, and further God’s work.”

We take the United Methodist slogan “Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors” seriously, and seek to live it out in how we do church. All are welcome among us! If your heart is inclusive and compassionate and your mind curious and thoughtful, you will find sympatico spirits within our open doors.

Our Worship Services:

Sunday at 9:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary for Traditional Service. Traditional worship is for those folks who appreciate more classical music, the long-standing hymns and more formal liturgy for the order of worship.

Sunday at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel for Contemporary Service. Contemporary Worship is for those who appreciate more upbeat and current music and desire a less structured pattern of celebration.

We invite you to browse through our web page, get information on our current and upcoming musical events, a sense of who we Ventura Methodists are, and then come in person to experience the joy and warmth of a congregation gathered together celebrating God’s gift of life and responding to God’s call to make things better.
