St. Paul’s has a 119 year history of ministry in Ventura.

As part of the Episcopal Church in the United States and the worldwide Anglican Communion, here at St. Paul’s we conduct worship according to the Book of Common Prayer. The Prayer Book promotes participation among all members of the congregation in corporate and individual worship through forms rich in readings from the scriptures and prayer hallowed by centuries of use.

People naturally love to express the deepest feelings of praise, thanksgiving, wonder, and love in music. We are blessed with a fine tradition of Anglican hymns and chants, embodied and extended in the 1982 Hymnal and supplemental books. Our organist-music director, leads our singing choir and a handbell choir.

At St. Paul’s we are gladdened also by the exceptionally lovely tracker organ whose reconstruction and installation in the sanctuary was completed in 1980 by our former music director, Al Campbell.
