The Church of the Wayfarer is a dynamic community of faith. We are a full service church. We are people of all ages. Some of us live here all year and others part of the year. We enjoy the blessing of having visitors from around the world. Our faith is positive. We believe in a loving God and strive to bring faith and hope to our world.

We are a neighborhood church in the heart of Carmel-by-the-Sea. We are a United Methodist Church with open hearts, open minds and open doors. We accept each person wherever they are on their journey of faith.

The Church of the Wayfarer is a growing church both in numbers and in programs. Our worship blends both classical music and contemporary. The sermons are interesting, practical and are based on the reading of the scriptures.

Our Choir provides music leadership for worship services each Sunday morning throughout the year. Music is provided by the choir for additional services during the year.

The Wayfarer Ringers are a group of adults who share in the joy of handbell ringing. They ring for worship services during the year.

Choralettes is our program for younger children grades two through six.

Sing for Joy! is an outreach music ministry for children in kindergarten and first grade.

Music opportunities abound at Church of the Wayfarer. Through music we teach and celebrate the child in young people, and guide them as they seek their potential, so they may be empowered to know and accept that they can make a difference.

Bach to the Future has been part of our musical offering to the community since its creation by Carteena Robohm in 2005! Now, in collaboration with the Carmel Bach Festival, the program continues to flourish. During this fun and enlightening week, our young participants sing and make music, draw, dance, explore history and language, interact with singers and instrumentalists from the Carmel Bach Festival. Church of the Wayfarer hosts many of the Intermezzo Concerts for the Carmel Bach Festival.
