Long Beach in the early 1900’s was a popular resort area and growing harbor in Southern California. Those with spiritual needs were finding them met through the new Sunday School movement. Bethany Church can trace its roots to the Union Sunday School of 1904.

One word that best describes the atmosphere here at Bethany is "friendly". Visitors tend to walk away feeling like they were welcomed and cared for here, and that's our desire for you today.

The Celebration Choir and orchestra lead our first service in Traditional Worship.

For those who prefer the more contemporary side of worship, we offer Celebration Worship where our Celebration Choir, piano, organ, and orchestra leads us in the hymns of our faith as well as new songs written for today’s worship.

Celebration Ringers is our handbell ensemble. We are blessed to have four and a half octaves of Malmark Bells and four octaves of Schulmerich Bells. They are put to good use with the church and school bell choirs.

We have 3 unique Children's Choirs for children ages 4 1/2 years through 5th grade.

The Bethany Orchestra is a vital part of the celebration service on Sunday mornings. The Orchestra plays the 3rd and 4th Sundays of each month for the Celebration Service and special services.
