The La Crescenta Presbyterian Music Department seeks to worship God through many different facets of music. In our New Song service at 9:00 AM we praise the Lord with contemporary Christian music featuring our Praise Team. Our New Song service is designed to be an opportunity to find peace in the midst of the chaos of life and experience God’s grace in a very real way. While we seek to be faithful to our heritage, which goes back thousands of years, we also strive to be relevant in a world that is constantly changing. Since most people listen to a contemporary style of music, we incorporate contemporary elements in our worship.

Our traditional service at 10:45 AM features our Cathedral Choir along with organ, piano, hymns and special music. Periodically there will be performances given by the Cathedral Bells, the two children’s choirs(Cherub & Sparks Choirs), the children’s bell choir and special music performed by members of our congregation.

Our Adult Bell Choir enhances the worship service through the use of handbells and chimes. Our purpose is to grow both spiritually and musically as we ring our praise to the Lord. We endeavor to provide musical excellence while having fun and enjoying fellowship in a warm Christian environment.

Our Children's Choir performs in church 3-5 times a year for the congregation.

During the summer months we feature individual musicians from the congregation ranging from Los Angeles Philharmonic and Los Angeles Opera orchestra musicians to our talented high school musicians.For the Christmas season, our music department presents a program that involves many of our ensembles. In the spring, the Cathedral Choir presents a concert along with orchestra accompaniment. Additionally the music department presents musicals featuring the youth of the church. In the past LCPC has hosted an eclectic mix of musical performers from around the world such as the Valaam Ensemble from the Soviet Union, Mary Rice Hopkins, the teen Christian rock band “Down and Away”, the internationally known Walsh Bell Choir, Scottish Bag Pipes, the Continentals and the Crescenta Valley Chamber Music Society.
