People come from Downtown, North Little Rock, West Little Rock, Hillcrest, Benton, Conway, and all over the greater Little Rock community to join together in a community of faith that is vibrant, progressive, and filled with laughter.

Together we focus on four things: praising God and resting in His presence (worship); trying to become like Jesus (discipleship); developing deep friendships with each other (community); and joining God’s work in putting the world back together (mission).

At our church, we use the phrase Worship Arts to describe what we want worship to be. If you worship with us at Second, you’ll hear dramatic readings of scripture, experience extended moments of quiet reflection, see thought provoking videos and dramas, be encouraged to lift your voice in song, and have your life shaped through challenging sermons. In two distinct services, we use this wide variety of arts, methods, and experiences to praise God and acknowledge who He is in our lives.

Celebration
Our early service is called Celebration. Beginning at 9:00 A.M., we gather for a mixture of traditional hymns and well known choruses. Our Adult Choir sings in this service, and you might also expect to see the occasional use of other creative elements such as video or drama. Our hope in Celebration is to mix quiet reflection with a dignified yet energetic way of praising God.

The Bridge
At 11:20 A.M., we have a second service called The Bridge. The music is more contemporary, and there is common use of highly creative and experiential elements. But more than issues of style, our hope in the Bridge is to create an atmosphere of freedom as we worship.
