St. James is made up of all different kinds of people from those that are just dipping their toes into faith to those that are seeking to grow in their faith.

A variety of worship gatherings - traditional, casual, praise, and contemporary - are offered each week at St. James. In addition, a variety of worship, music and prayer gatherings, retreats, classes, and emails are offered during the year.

With a new Contemporary Worship Center to a Family Center across the street, we are actively finding ways to reach those who want to know more. There are so many programs to choose from as well as groups that cater to the busiest lifestyle-it's all about growing together.

Our services:

Saturday Casual Service - 5:30pm Saturday services meet at 5:30 pm in the Sanctuary. It is a come as you are worship service offering traditional singing from the Cokesbury hymnal.

Awakenings - 8:30am A Service of Prayer and Praise... meets Sundays at 8:30 am in the Sanctuary. It is a unique blend of both traditional and praise music and meaningful prayer experiences.

 

Traditional Services with the organ and choir meet on Sundays at 9:30 am and 10:30 am in the Sanctuary. They are festive United Methodist liturgical worship celebrations.

Vertical Event is a contemporary service that meets at 10:50 am on Sundays in the Gym. A multi-sensory, thematic, multi-generational worship experience that finds faith expression through movie/tv clips, drama, dance, and music. This interactive hour is guided by a rock band playing energetic praise and worship choruses, hymns, and secular songs to worship God in creative ways.

Through music, creativity, and beauty we are led into a world
of holiness and God-inspired possibilities. Each of our choirs and groups is focused on leading worship, and strives to balance excellence with spiritual growth and fellowship for all participants. There are handbell choirs for ringers from fourth grade through adult.
