Connecting with God happens in many ways. At First United Methodist Church, Fort Smith, we see our very reason for existence as being to connect people to God. Worship and Sunday School are designed to open hearts toward God. Bible studies, choirs, youth groups, children's events, scouts, women's groups, men's groups, and everything else we undertake are all put together with the intent of connecting people to God.
People come together at FUMC to worship God on Sunday mornings where the Good News of God's love is shared through sermon, scripture and song. FUMC offers a variety of worship experiences.
All of the worship experiences at FUMC are designed to be uplifting and filled with the joyful presence of God's accepting love.
We offer both traditional and contemporary worship services.
First Family's music department welcomes all those who wish to serve God with their God-given talents. A graded choir program for children from four years through sixth grade, hand bell choirs for children and adults, Music Camp, the Chancel Choir, and solo and small ensemble singing all provide opportunities for service, learning, fellowship and fun.
The three manual, 43 rank pipe organ in our sanctuary was completed in
1987. Built by Quimby Pipe Organs, Warrensburg, Missouri.
We are called to be God's people who witness to His saving love through Jesus Christ. We believe this is a very exciting journey and invite you to share it with us.
