Mission Statement of Our Congregation

Called by Christ to make disciples of all people, we help people in the communities we serve meet their spiritual, social, emotional, and related educational needs by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ as confessed by The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod.

Music plays an important role in the life of Ascension. Blessed with many talented individuals this group includes organists, percussion, keyboard and accompanists, as well as a variety of other instrumental musicians. Our Choir includes:

Adult Choir
Praise Team
Handbell Choir
Children's Choir

The 5:00 PM Saturday evening worship is a blended service, offering traditional music as well as contemporary music.

The 8:00 AM and 9:30 AM Traditions of Praise Worship services offer varying liturgical services from the Lutheran Hymnal page 15 to Lutheran Worship Divine Service II as well as special services.

The 11:00 AM service is a Praise and Celebration service with the music being led by a Praise Team choir, keyboard, guitars and drums.

Audio cassette tapes of Sunday morning worship are available by contacting our church office.
