About The Ransoms

Ransom is an energetic and unique Christian rock band based in the Metropolitan DC Area. They play an eclectic mix of originals and popular covers, inspired by their collective passion for Jesus and his ultimate plan for their lives and others.

The band's first EP entitled Begin at the End blends the inventive and imaginative lyrics of Bakken with the artistic instrumentation of Reedy and percussionist Dustin Ransom. Elegant string arrangements and distinctive guitar tones enhance the classic style of this project, adding to its ability to combine great texture with a smooth and innovative sound. 

In additional to playing a wealth of originals, Ransom covers many different styles from other well known artists. Ransom is also a group of Christians with high standards. All of the songs that they sing and play are positive and encouraging.  Their music covers many styles from Modern Rock, Classic Rock, Pop, Fusion, Swing, Funk, Rockabilly and Jazz.

Ransom's mission is to encourage, through the power of music, those that are believers, and to reach out to those that are seeking.
