Nikki Leonti

Seventeen-year-old Nikki Leonti sings with a voice that is mature far beyond her years. Likewise, she thinks with clarity and awareness seldom found in one so young. But most importantly, she lives and loves with the pure, child-like faith that Christ instructed all his followers to model.

Born with a gift for song, Nikki grew up in a home that nurtured both her spirit and her singing. She watched her mother lead worship every Sunday in the family's church, as her father played drums in the band. The Leontis were active in ongoing evangelical outreaches to the community, and at an early age, Nikki learned a love for music and the Lord, as well as compassion for the people and the world around her. And even on the edge of seeing her childhood dreams realized sooner than even a vivid imagination could conjure, Nikki still holds tightly to the firm foundation her parents and the Lord have built for her.

I think she's got one of strongest voices and set of lyrics of the new generation singers. When i heard "shelter me" prior to its release i told everyone she'd be a mighty force in god's outreach as well as solid Christian music. when Maggie b., Crystal, Twila, and the likes pass the torch, Nikki will be there.

Nikki Leonti's music has ministered to my soul. My husband and I listened to her CD Shelter Me during our engagement. My husband's favorite song is "Shelter Me." Mine is "It'll Come To You." It seemed at that time to be expressing my joy for a long-awaited love, but of course it is expressing more than that I know. All her songs are so happy, they lift me up to heaven! "Even in the darkest night, just hold out for the dawn...."

She asked me if I would like to listen and of course I said yes. I am so blessed and fortunate to have had an opportunity to hear Miss Leonti's gift of music.
