About Joe Pace
Joe Pace is a busy man. In addition to being the CEO and president of The PACE Group, Inc., and an ordained minister, he is also the Director/CEO of the award-winning Colorado Mass Choir.
The choir, formed in 1995 out of a community-wide choral workshop that took place in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is comprised of over 60 members from 35 different churches throughout the state.
The choir became an instant success through their 1995 debut album for Verity Records, Watch God Move. The album yielded such popular songs as the title track "Watch God Move," "Still Have Joy," and the smash hit "Stir Up the Gift." The choir was richly rewarded for the success of this album, receiving a Stellar Award for New Artist of the Year in 1997, as well as four GMWA Gospel Music Excellence Award Nominations in 1997 in the categories of Album of the Year, New Artist of the Year (Contemporary), New Artist of the Year (Traditional), and Song of the Year for "Stir Up the Gift."
The accolades continued to roll in with the choir's sophomore project, the 1998 release entitled So Good. The project featured a number of special guests, including Kim Rutherford, who appears on the track "At the Cross"; the husband/wife duo Angelo & Veronica, who are featured on "Yes He Loves Me" with Veronica going solo on the track "Bless His Holy Name"; and Min. Kenneth Wells, who was the vocal catalyst behind the hit "Stir Up the Gift," taking the reigns on the track "He Takes Care of His Own." The album ended up receiving four Stellar Award nominations in 1999 for Choir of the Year, Traditional Choir of the Year, Traditional Album of the Year, and Producer of the Year, (Joe Pace), along with two Dove Award nominations for Traditional Album of the Year and Traditional Song of the Year for the titled track, "So Good."
The group released two more albums on the Verity label, the 1999 release God's Got It, which featured a guest vocal appearance by award-winning artist/songwriter/producer Fred Hammond, and the 2001 compilation Joe Pace and the Colorado Mass Choir -- The Greatest Hits. A new recording deal with Integrity Music took place in 2001 and the group released Glad About It that same year.
Joe is currently engaged as an artist, producer, and songwriter for Integrity Gospel, with whom he has created a line of praise and worship music resources for the church. The “Joe Pace Presents” product line includes the double Dove Award nominated album, Joe Pace Presents… Let There Be Praise, the Top 10 Billboard Charting project - Joe Pace Presents… Shake The Foundation, The Best Of Joe Pace Songbook, and his impressive double Dove Award nominated work – Joe Pace Presents… Sunday Morning Service. All have won critical acclaim for their technical excellence and their “usability” by local churches.
Celebrating a decade of work, Joe Pace released Mighty Long Way in 2006 featuring new arrangements of popular songs from Joe Pace's fruitful career. This live, 2CD set features a booming, 120 member mass choir alongside guest vocalists Lowell Pye of Men of Standard and Dalon Collins of The Family. Songs include "Have Your Way," "Shake the Foundation," "Offering of Praise," and more.
Worship For The Kingdom was released in October of 2007. It depicts the whole church experience on one CD. From the opening welcome to offering to altar call to benediction, Pace portrays church as it should be. In an almost instructional manner that affirms Pace’s role as pastor, teacher and one of the most sought after music workshop clinicians and speakers in the country, this is much more than an album of music. Encouraging communication with God through combining segments of Pace’s spoken Word with the power of his choir’s music ministry, Worship For The Kingdom provides the consummate church experience for all denominations.
Recorded live at the Renaissance Church of God In Christ in Grand Rapids, Michigan, it features an 80-voice multi-denominational, multi-cultural community choir.
There is plenty to enjoy on the album that includes the first single, “You’ve Been Good” a high-energy, head bobbing classically structured praise & worship jam. As is Pace’s signature, Worship For The Kingdom also features tracks that are essentially Praise and Worship at its best – Sunday Morning lyrics backed by well produced and strong music that draw in the listener. From the opening of “Welcome Into This Place” to the time-honored “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” to the simple hooky repetitive chorus of “When I Worship” it all bears Joe Pace’s unique stamp of perfected praise and worship music.
