Toby, Marty and Josh Penner... "Jake" are three flesh-and-blood brothers who share everything: an unusually close Christian family, a love of all things Canadian (including impromptu renditions of "O Canada," the national anthem) and a heartfelt desire to use their modern pop songs to help enliven the faith of kids all over.

If you don't know Dad, you don't know Jake. That's because Dad, like Grandpa Penner and several other male Penner relatives, is named Jake. "It's very common on both sides of Dad's family," says Toby. "Since none of us are named Jake, we decided to let the name live on with the band."

For starters, Toby, Marty and Josh are polite, clean-cut, and fun to be around. Athletic and smart, they're equally at home on the basketball court or in their favorite bookstore. It's tempting to describe them as "all-American boys," but they're proud Canadians, to the bone--with dual citizenship, thanks to Mom Penner, who was born and raised in the United States. Holding both a Canadian and U.S. passport makes it easy to cross the border, says Toby. "The customs people always smile and say, 'Welcome home' whichever way we're heading... it's great."

"We stopped playing as a full-time band in April of 2003, and have found other things to keep us occupied, but we've all been amazed at how much we've missed being on the road. We enjoyed a very special position there as a full-time touring band for about four years".

We're finding opportunities here and there to play together and have recorded a bunch of new demos in Toby's home studio in Nashville. We're excited about new goals for our music and lives, new songs to sing and new ways for God to use us. Thank you so much for the part so many of you have played in making these last four years complete and wonderful. Stay tuned… who knows what could happen next?"

I had never heard of JAKE but then on the radio I heard their song 'Waiting' and I had to know who sang it once I did I went out and bought the CD! I Love it! I hope to hear about JAKE coming to or near Wichita Kansas!!

I loved the group JAKE when i went to the Left Behind tour. I met them after the concert, and the were so polite and funny. They just taked to you. They were awesome guys w/ a talent from God!!!!

I think that Jake is the best group! I went to SonShine (a Music Festival)! And i went to their concert (in the front row)! They were Awesome! They are my new favorite band!  My favorite band is Jake they are so awesome i' m there #1 fan. I just went to the Summer Jam concert that they were in and I bought there cd. I got to meet them after the concert and get a picture with them. They are the nicest guys. Plus they just act like normal people. They talk to you like there just normal people. I just want to say they have changed my life for the good and if there out there and they see this I just want to thank you guys for comming here and please come back to Wichita,Kansas sometime I guarantee you I will be there if you guys come again.

What I think about JAKE!!!

FIRST OF ALL I WOULD LIKE TO THANK GOD FOR PUTTING THIS WONDERFULLY TALENTED BAND ON THIS EARTH, THEY ARE SO AWESOME I HAVE A 4 YR. OLD BROTHER AND A 1 YR. OLD SISTER AND WE WENT TO THE CHRISTIAN BOOK STORE AND WE GOT THIS VIDEO FOR KIDS CALLED "BIG SONGS FOR LITTLE KIDS" AND TOBY, MARTY, AND JOSH WERE THE VIEO HOSTS AND THATS THE FIRST TIME I SAW THEM LIKE RIGHT WHEN I SEEN THEM IM LIKE WOW WHO ARE THESE GUYS. THEY WERE FUNNY ECSPECIALLY JOSH (MY FAV.)

Jake- Hello jake fans- i just got back from another jake concert. it wasnt like the left behind tour.this was much better. it was so fun. i was in the front row taking pictures and toby and marty would like pose right in the middle of the song, which was nice but everyone turned to look. i met them after the concert and they were just as nice as the first time i saw them. toby took my camera and looked at it and then took a picture of us with it..lol...its a great picture. i encourage everyone to go to a concert if you have that opportunity, its worth your time. all i ask is that when you go, but considerate and polite.give them your attention especially when they are talking so people like me who didnt hear a word of what they said because of talkers can hear what they are saying. who knows, someone may be hearing the message for the first time. i know that if you go you will have a blast. i cant wait to go to another jake concert!
