A really smart guy once said, The true call of a Christian is not to do extraordinary things, but to do ordinary things in an extraordinary way. Were thinking that he must have met Caleb Rowden already.
Caleb is an ordinary guy. A kind of Everyman who wakes up, puts his pants on, eats breakfast, kisses his wife and goes about his day. He is a sports enthusiast who tries to be a good neighbor, a responsible driver and a loyal friend.
Where the ordinary meets the extraordinary may not seem so obvious. But the fact that this 23 year-old Columbia, Missouri, native played his first church gig at the age of three and has been keeping the beat ever since is a big hint. The fact that for the past decade he has been building a highly successful career as an independent opening for such notable talents as MercyMe, Casting Crowns, Nichole Nordeman, Jeremy Camp and Audio Adrenalinemight make this ordinary guy a bit more intriguing. But consider the fact that, even before his career got off the ground, Caleb Rowden put his money where his passion is, establishing a non-profit organization to support ongoing mission efforts, and you’re getting even closer to understanding how special this guy really is.
Caleb loves worship in a church setting but believes strongly, “It is time we move our act of worship outside the sanctuary and allow life to be His sanctuary and our lifestyles to become His podium. As evangelical Christians we cannot become selfish in our relationship with God but must act quickly to not only share the Gospel but we must be Christ to a needy friend, a needy world."
