Burlap to Cashmere Lyrics

Burlap to Cashmere

Burlap to Cashmere was founded in Brooklyn, summer of '95, when Manager Jamison Ernest discovered cousins John Philippidis and Steven DeLopoulos playing in a coffee house.

Later, lifelong friends Mike Ernest (guitar), Theodore Pagano (drums), Roby Guarnera (bass), and Josh Zandman (key boards) joined. Lastly, Percussionist Scott Barksdale answered an ad in the paper to complete the band.

Burlap to Cashmere has a distinct sound made up of folk music combined with arrangements full of flamenco guitar, Afro-Cuban rhythms, and old-world Greek bazouki.

I have practically worn out my first copy of this CD listening to it constantly, when I am driving.

I had the privilege of experiencing B2C in concert a couple of years back when they opened for Jars of Clay at LSU in Baton Rouge, LA. After their set, I was ready to leave. I have nothing against Jars but I came to hear MY music! I am a 46 year old "70's Jesus Freak" and this group has a sound that brings me back to that time in my Christian life, when my music not only had a message and melody, but was a ministry in and of itself.

The unique sounds and rhythms and powerful lyrics of Steven & John and the rest of the guys have blessed me so much! I want everyone I meet to listen! When will there be more? PLEASE don't let this be the last of such awesome and anointed music.....The world needs MORE!!! We ARE anxiously awaiting the next arrival from our favorite artists!

Molly from Zachary, LA.

I think that Burlap to Cashmere bring a unique sound to Christian music. Their hints of latin music keep me on my feet. I love their voices, and I love their lyrics. They have so much to offer to Christian listeners. Its a new flavor and a new style. They are AWESOME!

Thank You. Sara
