bethany dillon lyrics

Dreamer

Love woke me up this morning with a memory
Love came and whispered a story that awakened a dream
Imagine a beautiful castle and a beautiful king
He left the comfort of his throne to fight for victory

I am a dreamer
Take me higher
Open the sky up
Start a fire
I believe even if it's just a dream

Love woke me up this morning and I ran to see
The king in the winners circle on the horse he won for me

Only a king would do anything
To protect the kingdom

Hallelujah

Who can hold the stars and my weary heart?
Who can see everything?
I've fallen so hard, sometimes I feel so far
But not beyond Your reach
I could climb a mountain, swim the ocean, or do anything
But it's when You hold me that I start unfolding
And all that I can say is

Hallelujah, hallelujah
Whatever's in front of me
Help me to sing hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Whatever's in front of me
I'll choose to sing hallelujah

The same sun that rises over castles and welcomes the day
Spills over buildings into the streets where orphans play
And only You can see the good in broken things
You took my heart of stone, and You made it home
And set this prisoner free

All That I Can Do

I ran around the room again
I ran outside, and then I ran back in
And I just couldn't get away from myself
I don't care what tomorrow brings
I won't back down for anything
I want to think that I was made for something else

I can't wait anymore
I'm ready to reach
So I'm closing the door behind me

All that I can do is hold onto You
And to follow where You lead
Where You're leading me
All that I can do is hold onto You
And let You bring me through
It's all that I can do

There are days I think I don't need You
There are days when I can't see the truth
I need You to save me from the lies
Because every thought that's in my head
And even when I draw my next breath
You knew it all before there was time

When the waves begin to rise
And all my hope fails
In confidence, I'll close my eyes
Trusting You'll be there

I Believe You

When there's nothing to believe in, I believe in you
Forget the past and let my hand in yours be the proof
Though the strong could be my company you're the one I choose
So remember, I believe in you

I know it feels like every eye is watching you
Waiting for you to fall, expecting you to lose
But I see victory, so all you have to do
Is remember I believe in you

I believe even when I see you crying
I believe, let me dream for you
When nothing comes from trying
Remember, I believe in you

There will come a day when love will lift you out of here
There will come a day when love will bring the truth
There will come a day when love will free you from your fear
And you'll remember I believe in you

'One morning when my sister, Kate, and I arrived at the studio, Ed had had an idea
for a new song the night before... he grabbed a guitar and played me this beautiful verse.
I remember the first line just killing (there it is!) me:

"When there's nothing to believe in, I believe in you..."

Airplane

In an airplane
I take the window seat
A thousand feet, and all I know shrinks in minutes
When the sky is gray
I want to believe
That when the sun is hiding it still exists

In an airplane
Are kings and common men
At the window side by side, their view is now the same
Some relax and rest their eyes
Some sit on the edge
As we all break through the clouds, into the light of day

Mountain tops peak through
This is where I see You
I've never seen a clearer blue
This is where I see You

Leave behind your busy life
All you have is who you are
Space like this is hard to find, so breathe it in
Someone will say, "Where are you heading?"
And it might be the first time you ever thought about it

A baby's talking two rows behind me
The sun just set for the second time today
You seem to use the smallest things around me
To get me to this place
